VW Jetta (all years) Trunk Tank. Capacity is 14.5 gallons, fits on the left side of the trunk, and allows access to the spare tire (you must cut the carpet as the right edge of the tank) and still allows the larger of the two rear seats to fold forward to stow long items in the trunk. Same super-strong design as all our aluminum tanks - 3/16" 5052 aluminum, "baseball cover" design with two interlocking C-shaped sections which reinforce each other and take stress off the welds and with internal anti-slosh baffles of 3/16" aluminum which also act as structural ribs. Ships with tube-type fuel level sender (We've found that float-arm type senders fail over time in SVO.) (You provide the fuel gauge of your choice, in the 33-240 ohm range (on our local Jetta conversions, we make an aluminum plate that locates the SVO tank's gauge in the stock ashtray location just forward of the shifter.) Setup for 12-14" HotFox coolant-heated all stainless tank heater/heated fuel pickup, HotFox not included in price (they're $200 if ordered as part of a kit, or $250 without a kit.) Tank is provided with a large removable cleanout/inspection plate, 3/16" aluminum bottom flanges to allow bolting to the floor of the trunk, 3/8" brass 90-degree elbows for fuel return and tank vent, a one-way checkvalve for the vent line, and a stainless steel marine-type diesel deck fill ("gas cap") with a spring-loaded pop-up stainless lever for easy unscrewing of the fill cap. Use with our Vormax Trunk Mount Bracket, which locates the Vormax on the right side of the trunk.
